Hubbell LightWatt LWW
LWW150S-91ASC 150w HPS (Grey)(10-92)
Fixture's Information.
I have bought this at a Re-Store place for $7 with many others items. There were two of these. Other had a hole on the lens. Lens on this one is a bit yellowed. This one is intact. It works perfectly. I can't hang it up on a chain. It would tilt to the side cuz of the ballast being off center. Hanging it on a conduit will work.
Fixture's Size.
Showing the size of it compared to the soda can. Not very big. You can also see the yellow wirenuts in the hole on top of the fixture. It's where you make the connections after it's hanged up. Easier to do this way than hold it while making connections then hanging it up.
ID Tag.
Here's the tag showing the model number of this light. It also shows what lamp is used in it and it's wattage. It doesn't show the date code but I used what look like a date on the lens that came with the light.
Lamp Included.
This light came with the lamp so I didn't have to buy one. It's a GE Lucalox 150w lamp made in Hungary. It's one of the few good HPS lamp. Most of the HPS lamps out there doesn't last long. Some of them can get lucky and burn for 2 or 3 years. Most last less than one year. What a shame! As I expected. The lamp isn't the original one. The one included was made in 2005.
Lens Used.
Here's the lens used. It's a acrylic lens since the Hubbell's website says the LightWatt series are in the acrylic HID category. You can barely see that it's a bit yellowed from use. The date I mentioned before is located on the injection stub in the center of the cone. It says "10-92."
Fitter & Cord.
Here's the cord I added. The cover isn't included with the light. I could make one easily.
Lamp Holder.
Here's the lamp holder in the light. It's a household sized one, but this one is pulse rated while most household isn't pulse rated.
Ballast Area.
Here you can see the ballat and gear used in this light. I removed the ballast's strap so the label can be seen. You can see why I can't use this light on a chain.
The black cylinder is the ignitor. It sends out 5000 V pulses in order to start the lamp. Without it, the lamp will not light up at all.
The white cylinder is the capacitor. Used to improve the power factor.

Lit up.
Here it is lit up. Nice golden light. Nice light for once. Other lights are pinkish orange and are weird and ugly looking. This is supposed to be bright but stupid camera stepped down the intensity.
